Rates  & Deposits

Hourly Rate:   $450

No administrative fee

Deposits: $1000 per side if two sides, $750 per side if three or more sides

Minimum charge per case: $2000

Attorneys will be asked to sign my retention agreement which includes the following paragraphs:  

Deposits. In disputes involving two parties/sides, each side must deposit $1000 at the time of the reservation. In disputes involving three or more parties/sides, each side must deposit $750. Deposits are refundable when not otherwise owed under this agreement.

Fees and Costs. My fees for services are $450 per hour for time spent consulting with counsel, reviewing materials, preparing for and attending the mediation session. Any travel time over one hour per day is charged at $225 per hour. All out-of-pocket expenses for travel, parking, postage and other expenses incurred in connection with this mediation will be billed at cost; copying is billed at $0.25 per copy. There is a minimum charge of $2000 per case. There is a cancellation charge of $2000 if the matter is canceled less than four weeks (28 days) in advance of any day set for mediation unless it is immediately rescheduled. My fees are the joint and several obligation of the attorneys and parties on each side to the extent of that side’s agreement to pay fees. Fees in this case will be divided among the parties as follows: 50% to _ and 50% to. All charges will be paid to my office in Alameda County within ten (10) days of receipt of an itemized written bill.
